A graduate of Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Larrabee brings academic depth to his surgical practice. This educational foundation informs a careful, anatomy-first approach to facial aging.

The deep plane facelift is one of Dr. Larrabee's core specialties. This technique works beneath the SMAS (the superficial musculoaponeurotic system, a supportive layer of muscle and tissue under the skin) to reposition deeper facial structures rather than simply pulling the skin.

Dr. Larrabee's surgical scope extends well beyond a single procedure. He offers facelift, mid facelift, forehead lifts, rhinoplasty, BOTOX Cosmetic, and Ultherapy, allowing patients to consider both surgical and non-surgical paths to rejuvenation.

Seattle serves as the home base for Dr. Larrabee's practice. Known as a hub of innovation and thoughtful, understated elegance, the Pacific Northwest city attracts patients who value natural-looking, refined outcomes.

Dr. Larrabee's philosophy emphasizes listening before operating. His practice materials describe a patient-centered approach in which concerns are heard and expectations are aligned before any surgical plan is finalized.

Beyond the operating room, Dr. Larrabee is recognized for his humanitarian work. He founded Global Surgical Outreach, a nonprofit organization providing volunteer-led cleft lip and palate care, reflecting a career built on service.

The Larrabee Center also maintains a surgical fellowship program. Training the next generation of facial plastic surgeons is a hallmark of established academic surgeons, and this teaching role speaks to Dr. Larrabee's standing in the field.

Recovery is a central part of Dr. Larrabee's conversation with patients. A deep plane facelift typically involves a staged healing process, and setting realistic timelines is part of the surgeon's preoperative counseling.

Dr. Larrabee's approach to facial aging blends surgical and non-surgical options. Treatments such as Ultherapy and BOTOX Cosmetic can complement a rhytidectomy (the medical term for a facelift) or serve as standalone rejuvenation for the right candidate.

Rhinoplasty rounds out Dr. Larrabee's facial expertise. Nasal surgery demands a refined understanding of both form and function, and its inclusion in his repertoire underscores a comprehensive command of facial anatomy.

International and out-of-region patients have historically sought out Dr. Larrabee. His practice materials reference patients traveling from beyond Washington State to consult with him about facial surgery.

Dr. Larrabee's presence on Instagram, where he shares work under the handle waynelarrabee, offers prospective patients a window into his surgical results. Visual portfolios help candidates understand the natural aesthetic he pursues.

I travelled from out of state to see Dr. Larrabee and it was an all around wonderful experience. His staff was great at communicating with me prior to travelling and when I arrived everything was in order. The professionalism was top drawer, as was Dr. Larrabee's skill. Post operative care was also excellent and I have never had such good communication with any physician in the past. I highly recommend Dr. Larrabee.

Dr Larrabee is one of the best surgeons in facial plastics. I came to see him after a botched mid-facelift and a lip lift. He is compassionate, caring and answered all my concerns. My recovery was easy with minimal bruising and the results are just spectacular! I am so happy and forever thankful to Dr Larrabee, the nurses and the wonderful staff.

Dr.Larrabee is kind, warm and caring. After seeing him, I looked and felt better! His expertise (skill & knowledge) is nonpareil. A year later I overheard two friends talking about how good I looked: One asked, “How does she do it?” The other responded, “I think it’s the bangs.” !

Dr. Larrabee's Surgical Approach

Dr. Wayne Larrabee approaches the deep plane facelift by working beneath the skin at the level of the SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system, the fibromuscular layer that supports the face).

Dr. Wayne Larrabee approaches the deep plane facelift by working beneath the skin at the level of the SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system, the fibromuscular layer that supports the face). Rather than tightening only the surface, this technique addresses the deeper structural foundation of facial aging.

The deep plane method involves sub-SMAS dissection, meaning the surgeon releases and elevates the tissue layer beneath the SMAS as a single unit. This allows the cheek, midface, and jawline to be repositioned together, restoring youthful contour without an overly tight appearance.
