Back then, treatment was total mastectomy with removal of all breast tissue, hard to do as a 22 year old single woman. Since then I had 6 reconstructive surgeries to try and improve my appearance and rid myself from the pain from contractures and hard breast implants. I tried 4 different plastic surgeons and 6 surgeries yet the end result was always the same- painful contractures and hard unnatural breasts. Dr Mirzabecki was recommended by my gynecologist in Jasper GA. From my first meeting with Atlantic Plastic Surgery and Dr Mirzabecki, I knew it was going to be different. He actually listened to my experiences and thoughtfully came up with a 2 step plan to solve my reconstruction problems. His approach was different from any other surgeon and I decided it was, hopefully, the chance to regain my comfort and rid myself of years of tight painful breasts. I had my final follow up with the surgeon yesterday. I have to say, I couldn’t be happier with the final outcome. The completed reconstruction is very natural aesthetically and the tactile feel of the reconstruction is very close to my breasts before the initial surgery 50 years ago (except for the years of surgical scars which will fade). I am so impressed with the final outcome I felt others should know about this talented and compassionate surgeon who made up for years of disappointed surgeries and painful reconstructions.
