What recent patients say
4.9 / 5 · 89 Google reviewsDr. Michael Eggerstedt performed my septoplasty and turbinate reduction, and the results have been life-changing. Before surgery, I constantly struggled to breathe through my nose and always felt congested. Now I can breathe clearly, sleep better, and even notice improved performance during CrossFit workouts. Dr. Eggerstedt was professional, reassuring, and incredibly skilled from start to finish. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon or a better outcome. I’m extremely happy with the results and highly recommend him to anyone dealing with breathing issues.
I had a facial injury that caused indented scarring and significant fat loss in my cheek that required an expert solution that was both cautious and creative. Dr. Eggerstedt offered the best of both worlds as a Beverly Hills-trained cosmetic surgeon and an academic facial surgeon at Rush, one of the top-ranked hospitals in the country. He has been a trustworthy, competent, confident and kind partner throughout my medical journey. Bottom line: Dr. Eggerstedt is a very skilled surgeon and a really good human. I can’t recommend him highly enough. And his support staff (nurse Melanie Mauro and coordinator Lynzie Rogers) were great too.
Dr. Eggerstedt is an incredible surgeon and I had a great experience with both him and his team. He listens to you and makes sure you’re fully informed. He made me feel so comfortable every step of the way, from consultation to surgery. Recovery was so much easier than expected, largely due to his amazing work. Can’t recommend him enough.
LOVED Dr. Eggerstedt i couldn’t recommend him enough. I had a septo/rhinoplasty. From the second I met him I knew he would be my surgeon. He made me feel absolutely comfortable, made sure I felt heard, explained everything in much detail so I would understand and not be concerned about anything. Fully expressed his thoughts and concerns about surgery and what he thought we should do for the rhinoplasty and we agreed on everything. I LOVE my nose now and surgery went great as well as recovery. He checked in with me day after surgery to make sure I was doing okay which i thought was very considerate. For my post op appointment, he made me feel very confident in how my nose was looking and how it suited me. I left feeling very good about my nose. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Eggerstedt!!!

Dr. Eggerstedt's Surgical Approach
Dr. Mike Eggerstedt approaches the deep plane facelift by working beneath the skin's surface to reposition deeper facial tissue.
Dr. Mike Eggerstedt approaches the deep plane facelift by working beneath the skin's surface to reposition deeper facial tissue. This technique targets the SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system), the layer of muscle and connective tissue that gives the face its structural support.
Unlike traditional facelifts that primarily tighten skin, the deep plane method releases and elevates tissue at a deeper level. Dr. Eggerstedt's training in head and neck surgery gives him detailed familiarity with the facial anatomy that this approach requires.
