Dr. Ho'S PERSPECTIVES
AI-assisted profile summarySignature technique
Dr. Ho's signature technique is the deep plane facelift, a cornerstone of her surgical philosophy. This advanced procedure involves repositioning the deeper SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system) layer of facial tissues, addressing the structural foundation of facial aging. By working beneath the muscle layer, she achieves more natural-looking and enduring results, avoiding the pulled appearance often associated with traditional skin-only tightening methods. Her expertise in this specialized approach allows for comprehensive facial rejuvenation that harmonizes with each patient's unique anatomy.

She completed her medical education at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. This foundation preceded specialized fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Ho is listed as board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS). Her credentials also reflect training in head and neck surgery, a background that informs her understanding of facial anatomy.
Her surgical interests span the full spectrum of facial aging. These include deep plane facelift, neck lift, revision facelifts, brow lift, and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).
The deep plane facelift is a defining part of her practice. This technique repositions deeper facial tissues rather than simply tightening skin, aiming for results that look rested rather than pulled.
Dr. Ho also offers non-surgical rejuvenation. Laser resurfacing, dermal filler, and facial contouring allow her to tailor treatment plans to each patient's stage of facial aging.
Her approach to jawline contouring is frequently noted within her broader practice. She emphasizes defining natural facial proportions rather than imposing a single template on every face.
Revision facelift surgery forms another area of concentration. Patients who feel earlier procedures left them looking tight or unnatural often seek surgeons comfortable working with previously operated tissue.
Dr. Ho holds membership in the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Such affiliations reflect an ongoing engagement with peer standards in the specialty.
Her practice is well suited to patients seeking a specialist focused exclusively on the face and neck. This narrow focus allows deep familiarity with the layered anatomy of facial aging.
Philadelphia, a historic East Coast city with a strong academic medical culture, provides the setting for her work. The city blends established hospital systems with a discerning patient base.
Recovery guidance is a consistent part of her patient care. A deep plane facelift typically involves a structured healing timeline, and Dr. Ho emphasizes realistic expectations from the first consultation.
Her philosophy centers on preserving identity. The goal is for patients to look like themselves at an earlier point rather than appearing surgically altered.
Women considering facial rejuvenation in Philadelphia may find Dr. Ho's combination of fellowship training, facial-only focus, and conservative aesthetic a strong match for their goals.
What recent patients say
4.9 / 5 · 28 Google reviewsSaw Dr.Ho for a second appointment and continue to be impressed with her broad knowledge and experience that I do not always see in other practitioners. Highly recommend!
2025 Update (other review below from a few years ago) Dr. Tina Ho is still my go to. I tried another place with a nurse injector against my better judgement (for Botox, and talked into eye and cheek filler) and my eye filler was totally botched on one side. Big bag I never had before. I went back a few times to the same place that did it, and the nurse just couldn’t get my face right, even when she tried to dissolve some. Long story short, I went to Dr. Tina and she fixed it with ONE visit. On my next check up, she asked my opinion and if I wanted to dissolve more. But she left to up to me. I love how easy she is to work with. She still has that nice personality from years ago. And the staff is always great. They helped me out as much as they could with discounts etc when available. Remember. There can be mistakes or a patient with unrealistic expectations with in office procedures or surgeries. Dr. Ho… she WILL make it right if it’s wrong. Lastly. When I’ve been injected by her for Botox - on the 2 week follow up, if I don’t quite like how something is. She always is willing to discuss and make better. She takes good notes too. She remembers how I felt heavy in the brow area on one of my follow ups and she fixed it, for FREE. Easy peasy. TO THIS DAY, she remembers, and mentions that heavy brow feeling I had years ago (reassuring me that if it happens again let her know.) Hint hint. It hasn’t happened again and I’ve been seeing her for 5+ years. I followed her from a place near me that she used to work for. I travel an hour to see her now. I do not care. ———————————————— 2020: Dr. Ho has a gentle technique while doing Botox. I had forehead lines and 11’s done with her. Previous to the appointment, my areas of concern have progressively gotten worse over the course of two years, I am 32. I am happy with my decision to slow the process. Not upset looking in the mirror any longer. I will be going back again. I’m glad I chose her. She is really gentle in personality too, real nice to talk to and understanding. Her office is clean and updated too.
My experience with Dr. Ho and her office has been nothing but exceptional. I have had the great privilege of shadowing alongside her during procedures and truly seen not only the talent she has within her field but the passion and care she takes for each and every patient. She is extremely honest and ensures that patients understand all the realities of the surgeries she offers. But she also puts her patients best case scenario in mind making sure that they walk away happy and confident always sure to address any questions or concerns they may have.
My experience at Dr. Ho’s office was exceptional. I was nervous at first but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful that I immediately felt comfortable. Hanna was my injector and she was personable and efficient. I immediately could tell she knew exactly what she was doing which was so reassuring. Nicole was in charge of my scheduling and she was so helpful and flexible. I will definitely be returning.

Dr. Tina Ho approaches the deep plane facelift as an anatomical repositioning procedure rather than a skin-tightening operation. Her technique focuses on releasing and lifting the deeper structural layers of the face to restore youthful contour.
Central to this method is the SMAS (the superficial musculoaponeurotic system, a supportive layer of tissue and muscle beneath the skin). In a deep plane facelift, dissection is carried beneath this layer rather than above it.
