Dr. Imani is listed as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), which is described as the official body training and representing specialist surgeons in Australia. He completed his medical education at the University of Western Australia.
His clinical interests reflect a narrow, deliberate focus. Rather than offering a broad menu of unrelated procedures, Dr. Imani has structured his practice around the face — the nose, the eyelids, and facial rejuvenation through deep plane techniques.
A deep plane facelift is a surgical approach that works beneath the SMAS (the superficial musculo-aponeurotic system, a layer of muscle and connective tissue in the face). This method repositions deeper tissue rather than simply tightening the skin.
Dr. Imani reports post-fellowship training in the principles of facial plastic surgery. This additional training is significant because facial rejuvenation surgery demands a detailed understanding of anatomy, nerve pathways, and the way faces age over time.
He holds memberships across several professional bodies, including ASOHNS, AAFPS, AAFPRS, EAFPS, and IBCFPRS. These affiliations span Australian, American, and European facial plastic surgery societies.
The philosophy behind Dr. Imani's work emphasises natural-looking results. His deep plane facelift approach aims to address facial aging at its structural source rather than creating a pulled or artificial appearance.
His background as an otolaryngologist — a surgeon of the ear, nose and throat — gives him a functional understanding of the face that extends beyond appearance. This is particularly relevant in rhinoplasty, where breathing and structure matter as much as aesthetics.
Dr. Imani practices at several Perth institutions, including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, the QE II Medical Centre, and Bethesda Hospital. These hospital affiliations place his surgical work within established medical settings.
Recovery is a central part of how Dr. Imani frames the deep plane facelift journey with patients. He is described as honest and direct in consultations, setting realistic expectations about healing timelines and outcomes.
His AHPRA registration (MED0001541340) identifies him as a recognised specialist surgeon within the Australian medical regulatory framework. AHPRA is the national body responsible for registering health practitioners in Australia.
Perth, the capital of Western Australia, offers a calm and private setting for facial surgery. Known as one of the most isolated major cities in the world, it provides a discreet environment for patients seeking rejuvenation away from busier eastern-seaboard cities.
Dr. Imani maintains a virtual consultation option, extending access to patients located interstate or further afield. This reflects a practice built around thoughtful patient communication before any surgical decision is made.
For women considering facial rejuvenation in their fifties and sixties, Dr. Pedram Imani represents a Perth-based option grounded in specialist training, hospital affiliation, and a focused surgical scope centred on the face.
What recent patients say
4.7 / 5 · 220 Google reviewsI am not usually someone to post reviews but there are some experiences which warrant an exception. Approximately 6 months ago, I had a rhinoplasty and septoplasty performed by Dr Imani. My intention in attending the first appointment was purely information gathering. However, from the moment I called to make a booking (and to this day), I have experienced nothing but extreme professionalism, attentiveness and kindness from both Dr Imani and his Practice Manager, Noellia. Deciding to come back again was organically easy. Dr Imani has always been patient with me and thorough in the information he provided. He entertained the many appointments I asked for before making a final decision, answering all of my (many) questions. He gave me his honest opinions so that my expectations of the process and likely outcome were accurate and realistic. This assisted me enormously in making what I always knew would be a difficult decision (due to nothing other than that proceeding was a big and permanent decision to make). Dr Imani is truly the best at his craft. He is incredibly talented and a very safe pair of hands. I have no reservations in recommending him and I am very grateful to both him and Noellia. I look forward to my next check in :)
The nicest receptionist I’ve ever met, and Dr. Imani is incredible. Instead of charging me for a nose surgery I didn’t actually need — which many other doctors would have done — he recommended a steroid spray that significantly improved my breathing. 10/10 experience. Easily the best nose doctor and clinic in Australia. Don’t take the risk with other doctors.
I researched my rare type of ear surgery on and off for about 5 years (cartilage reconstruction for deformed constricted/Stahl’s ears) before finally submitting my case to several surgeons. I was turned away by all of them as they didn’t have the specific skill set required for the complexity of my situation. Dr Imani was the only surgeon above the rest who confirmed he had the experience and cartilage reconstruction expertise needed to perform this type of ear reconstruction surgery. I’m now 5 weeks post op and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the results - they have exceeded way beyond my expectations. My post op care has been excellent. I’ve had regular check ins and have more review appointments booked in the coming weeks, which makes the recovery process feel very supportive. I’m incredibly grateful for the care and surgical skill involved. I made sure I booked with the absolute best, and I’m so thankful I chose Dr Imani. If you’re someone who has been researching surgeons and feeling unsure about who to trust, I can confidently say you are in the safest and most skilled hands with Dr Imani, Lastly, as another reassuring note, I would personally disregard the very isolated lower star rating on the review page. That was not reflective of my experience at all, my journey with Dr Imani and the team was positive from start to finish, in my opinion, plastic surgeons are analysing a situation from a completely different medical perspective they aren’t required to also have a psychiatrist degree. Cosmetic surgery is a very personal field, and these types of surgeons are often working with patients who may have extensive heightened concerns about their appearance.. which can shape how experiences are perceived. In my case, the care and results were outstanding.
If I could give 100 stars I would for this review Dr Imani! I originally saw him 4 years ago for a consult about a Rhinoplasty and but felt scared in making such a big decision that is altering my face. After 4 years I came back and my only regret is not doing this four years ago! I am currently 3 months post operation and from the start to now the process has been perfect. Everything was detail, thorough and seamless 🙌🏼 I’m quite literally obsessed with my nose and never thought results this amazing could be possible! It’s been life changing, I sleep better, I talk confidently in conversations, I don’t try hide in photos anymore, I walk with my head higher rather than avoid people’s gaze & I’m able to breathe 10000x better! The after is only 4ish weeks post operation, since it’s gotten smaller and far less swollen 😊

Dr. Imani's Surgical Approach
Dr. Pedram Imani approaches the deep plane facelift as a structural procedure rather than a skin-tightening one.
Dr. Pedram Imani approaches the deep plane facelift as a structural procedure rather than a skin-tightening one. His method works beneath the surface, targeting the deeper layers of the face where the visible signs of aging actually originate.
The deep plane technique centres on the SMAS — the superficial musculo-aponeurotic system, a continuous sheet of muscle and connective tissue that lies beneath the skin. Over time, this layer descends, taking the cheeks, jawline and midface with it.

Recovery from a deep plane facelift with Dr. Pedram Imani follows a structured timeline, with the most visible healing occurring over the first few weeks. Understanding this progression helps patients plan realistically for their return to daily life.
During the first one to two weeks, swelling and bruising are at their most pronounced. This is expected and normal — the deep plane technique involves repositioning tissue beneath the SMAS layer, and the body responds with temporary inflammation as it begins to heal.
