Dr. Paul Denton, RCPSC, FAACS

I am 63 years old and I just had lower eye bag surgery with Dr Paul Denton. From the first moment I walked in to Refine Cosmetic Surgery clinic to today, my care and customer service is off chart amazing. I have always dealt with Angie and there is no one better than her. Very warm, caring and she always makes you feel like part of the family. As for Dr Denton a very nice man, very professional and incredibly skillful. Double board certified and it shows. My results are simply amazing very clean looking and it took 10 years off life, easy. I chose Dr Denton because of his credentials and reviews. Plus I only wanted to go under with sedation and not general, that was very important to me and he accommodates Overall if you interested in having some type of plastic surgery or laser etc, there is no one better in Vancouver…. Even though it was I who had lower blepharoplasty and facial fat grafting done by Dr Paul Denton, I don’t think I’m the best person to write a review of my results. The male strangers who held the door open a little longer for me, who struck up a friendly conversation with me in the elevator, who complimented me at the cafe - they make the most objective reviewers, for all they saw was a young woman, not a middle-aged one who had just gotten work done. I should add that I experienced this warming of attitude towards me by day 10 of my surgery, when, theoretically, I was supposed to be still swollen and bruised. In my case, thanks to Dr Denton’s superb skills, most of the swelling receded in a few days, and other than very light patches of yellow “stain” under my eyes in the first week, there was no bruising at all. Despite what I said in my previous paragraph, I went under the knife for my sake, not for the sake of the male gaze. I had reached a stage in my life where I could still hope to thrive for as many as 20 years career-wise, and I grew so tired of looking tired that I overcame my fear of ending up blind or dying under general anesthesia. Not only did these fears turn out to be unwarranted, they were eased by Dr Denton’s calm and reassuring manner, and by the support given to me by Refine staff members Ania and Angie. I’m now six weeks post-op. These days, whenever I catch a glimpse of my reflection in the microwave door, an elevator mirror, or under the harsh fluorescent lights of a store, I no longer see two unsightly eye bags glaring back at me. Only now, in their absence, do I realize just how much mental weight those bags once carried. The facial fat grafting went smoothly (pun intended). The fine lines on my forehead became faint to the point of near invisibility, despite Dr Denton having injected only a very thin layer of fat into the area (I know the layer is very thin because I can barely feel it with my hands). The overall effect is very natural, none of the tight and chipmunk look seen on so many celebrity faces. Looking like a refreshed version of myself would be enough to make me happy, but strangers mistaking me for being much younger is a nice bonus.

An absolutely incredible experience with Dr. Denton and his team. I felt safe, supported, and genuinely cared for from start to finish. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and my results have exceeded my expectations. I am beyond thrilled and so grateful — I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!!

I am a 40 y/o woman and I had a surgical upper lip lift with Dr. Denton at the beginning of October (nearly 2 months ago). I am beyond pleased with the results and the entire experience. I did the surgery because I had a long upper lip and over time I lost some upper tooth show, which drove me crazy. This was my first cosmetic surgery. First of all - the team at this clinic is incredible. I mostly spoke with Ania and Angie. They truly did everything they could to answer ALL my questions (and I had a lot!) and made me feel comfortable and supported throughout. Angie was literally on standby for me while I inundated her email with questions. They are genuinely caring women and made my experience seamless, they were even present on my surgery date... I cant say enough about these two, the clinic is fortunate to have them as part of their team. Dr. Denton is not only skilled but has a very calm and intelligent demeanour. During my consult, I pretty much instantly felt like I could trust him and that I would be in good hands. I was a bit loopy during the actual procedure (due to the anti-anxiety meds) but I do recall his voice reassuring me throughout. I am 8 weeks post surgery and I am soooo happy with the results. I love the new position of my upper lip and each week the area softens a bit more. It takes 2-3 months for the deeper stitches to dissolve so I think in a few more weeks, I will have full range of my smile again. I decided to keep it private from most people in my life (minus the besties!) and no one caught on except a few co workers who asked if got lip filler or a botox lip flip.....which I lied and said yes to. A few acquaintances have stared at me and said "you're looking really good!" The superficial scar is very thin and I rarely feel the need to put make up on it and unless someone is privy to this specific surgery, it's tough to pinpoint why I look better!
