I had my breast reduction with The Plastic Surgery Group in London after another doctor in the field specifically recommended Mr Marsh to me. That recommendation meant a lot, and my experience truly lived up to it. Before meeting Mr Marsh, I had attended a few other consultations where I left feeling dismissed in my hopes and expectations. While I fully understand that a breast reduction is major surgery with real risks, I also had a genuine wish to achieve a really beautiful result (within realistic expectations) — not just physically smaller breasts, but to leave feeling more confident, happier in my body, and truly loving my new breasts. In previous consultations, that part felt overlooked. From the start, things felt different. Penny was wonderful — kind, organised, and incredibly helpful with booking my surgery. She even managed to have me seen sooner through the cancellation list, which I was so grateful for. She made the whole process feel smooth and supportive. I was very nervous at my first consultation, but Mr Marsh was so understanding. He happily offered a second consultation to ensure I felt completely comfortable before moving forward. That appointment felt truly tailored to me — everything was explained in detail, all my questions were answered thoroughly, and real time and care was taken to make sure we were fully aligned on goals and expectations. I never once felt rushed or dismissed. Louise, the head nurse who took charge of my aftercare for the first few weeks post-op, was honestly incredible. I was definitely an anxious patient, and she always answered the phone or email and cared for me with such patience and reassurance. Knowing she was there made the recovery period feel so much more manageable. What I appreciated most was that at no point did this feel like it was about making a sale. Mr Marsh is an incredibly talented surgeon, but he was always clear and concise about any limitations of the surgery and the potential results. That honesty built so much trust. I truly feel that Mr Marsh gave me the perfect result for me and my body type. After my initial 6-week post-op appointment, I went shopping and was nearly reduced to tears. For the first time in my adult life, I can shop comfortably, wear the clothes I want to wear, dance, run, and work without back pain. That feeling is priceless. My advice to anyone considering this surgery is that you couldn’t get better than this team. They are there to answer your questions, support you fully, and they truly strive to achieve your goals. I cannot speak highly enough of PSG and, in particular, my surgeon, Dr Mo Akhavani, who did an absolutely exceptional job on my lipo-abdominoplasty in December. From my very first consultation, Dr Akhavani’s extensive experience, knowledge, and surgical expertise were immediately obvious. He took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, answered all my questions with confidence, and made me feel completely reassured that I was in exceptionally capable hands. From start to finish, the level of care I received from Dr Akhavani and the entire PSG team was truly next level and incredibly professional. I stayed in hospital for two nights following surgery, and Dr Akhavani came to see me on both days, as well as prior to my discharge, which was incredibly reassuring and demonstrated his commitment to patient care. The nursing team at PSG were outstanding—conducting regular follow-up telephone appointments and always making me feel supported, comfortable, and confident that help was available 24/7 if needed. My results are beyond anything I ever expected, and my recovery has been smooth and very well managed. My dressings were changed weekly for the first two weeks, and I was carefully followed up until my final discharge at six weeks by Dr Akhavani himself. I did develop a seroma that required draining on two occasions, and even then the care was exceptional. I was seen promptly and looked after so well by both Louise, the nurse, and Dr Akhavani personally. His calm, knowledgeable approach and obvious expertise made what could have been a stressful situation feel completely manageable. The level of care, attention to detail, and professionalism from everyone involved in my journey has been phenomenal. I would absolutely and highly recommend PSG, and especially Dr Mo Akhavani, to anyone considering surgery and wanting to be treated by a surgeon whose experience and skill truly stand out.
