My deep plane approach is selective and anatomy-led. I release the retaining structures only where mobility is required and reposition the deeper facial tissues as a composite unit, rather than relying on tension applied to the skin. The direction and extent of the lift are adapted to the patient’s pattern of ageing, facial proportions and neck anatomy. When the neck requires treatment, it is assessed as a separate anatomical component rather than an automatic extension of every facelift. Tension is supported by the deeper layers, while skin closure is planned to remain as precise and tension-free as possible. The objective is not maximum tightness, but balanced repositioning that preserves expression and facial identity.

Recovery is gradual, and the early appearance should not be mistaken for the final result. Swelling, bruising, tightness and temporary changes in sensation are expected during the first days. Many patients feel comfortable returning to social activities after approximately two to three weeks, although individual recovery varies. Subtle swelling and tissue firmness may continue to improve over several months, with the result becoming more refined as the tissues settle. International patients are generally advised to remain in Istanbul for approximately 7–10 days for early postoperative assessment. Follow-up continues after they return home through scheduled online reviews and photographic evaluation.

A good candidate is defined by anatomy rather than age alone. Deep plane facelift may be appropriate when structural tissue descent affects the midface, jawline and neck, and when a more limited procedure would not adequately address the pattern of ageing. The patient should be in suitable general health, have realistic expectations and understand the recovery process, scars and limitations of surgery. Smoking, medical conditions, previous facial procedures and skin quality are evaluated carefully. Patients with early or localised changes may benefit more from a mini facelift, an endoscopic approach or another limited procedure. Deep plane surgery is not recommended simply because a patient requests the most extensive option.

Pricing is determined by the scope of surgery rather than by a standard package. Facial anatomy, the extent of tissue repositioning, neck involvement, primary or revision surgery, operating time, hospital requirements and any additional procedures may all influence the final cost. Every patient receives an individual treatment plan and a clear quotation after medical assessment. The same clinical and safety standards apply to both local and international patients. Price is an important practical consideration, but it should not replace appropriate patient selection, surgical planning or a clear understanding of recovery and risk.
