Univ. Prof. Dr. Edvin Turkof

Univ. Prof. Dr. Edvin Turkof is a plastic surgeon based in Vienna, Austria, with over 30 years of experience. He earned his doctorate in 1982 and completed his specialist training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at AKH Vienna between 1989 and 1994, becoming a board-certified specialist in Plastic Surgery in 1994. He habilitated in 1996 and was appointed an associate university professor in 1997, the same year he opened his private practice. Dr. Turkof is also an officially sworn and court-certified expert witness for Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Turkof's clinical focus encompasses aesthetic surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, reconstructive breast surgery, and microsurgery. He is known for introducing innovative techniques to Vienna, including vibration-assisted liposuction in 1999, correction of dark circles and eye bags with Loeb's fat flap plasty in 2002, and subperiosteal midface lifting in 2006. He also pioneered breast reconstruction with autologous fat at AKH Vienna starting in 2008. Dr. Turkof has published numerous scientific works, led international projects, and received prestigious awards, including the Peat-Prize of the Indian Society for Plastic Surgery in 1993 and the Billroth-Prize of the Austrian Medical Association in 1994. He is fluent in both German and English.
