Dr. Khosh'S PERSPECTIVES
AI-assisted profile summarySignature technique
Dr. Khosh distinguishes his practice through his expertise in the deep plane facelift, a sophisticated and advanced facial rejuvenation technique. This approach involves careful dissection and precise repositioning of the deeper facial tissues, specifically including the SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system) layer. By addressing these deeper structures, he aims to achieve results that are both more natural-looking and significantly longer-lasting compared to traditional facelift methods. His philosophy extends to addressing multiple anatomical layers simultaneously, ensuring the repositioning of descended facial tissues while meticulously preserving natural facial expressions, thereby avoiding the operated appearance sometimes associated with less refined procedures.

A deep plane facelift is an advanced rejuvenation technique that repositions the deeper facial tissues rather than simply tightening the skin. Dr. Khosh is listed among the New York surgeons who focus their practice on this method.
The deep plane approach works beneath the SMAS (the superficial muscular aponeurotic system, a supportive layer of tissue in the face). By addressing this layer directly, the technique aims to restore natural contour without a pulled appearance.
Dr. Khosh maintains a subspecialty interest in cosmetic and functional surgery of the eyes, face, neck, nose, and sinuses. This breadth allows him to consider the whole face when planning facial rejuvenation.
His practice is affiliated with Northwell Health, a large integrated health system in the New York region. This affiliation places his work within an established institutional framework.
Revision surgery is a particular area of focus for Dr. Khosh. Patients seeking correction of results from earlier procedures often require additional technical care, and he is recognized for handling these more complex cases.
Facial aging is a gradual process involving descent of soft tissue, loss of volume, and changes in skin quality. Dr. Khosh approaches these concerns as interconnected rather than isolated problems.
A thoughtful consultation is central to how Dr. Khosh works with prospective patients. He is described by those familiar with his practice as attentive and unhurried during pre-operative discussions.
Recovery from a deep plane facelift typically unfolds over several months, with the most visible swelling resolving in the first weeks. Dr. Khosh emphasizes realistic expectations regarding this timeline.
His surgical philosophy centers on results that appear natural and age gracefully with the patient. The goal of tissue repositioning, in this framework, is harmony rather than dramatic transformation.

What recent patients say
5.0 / 5 · 350 Google reviewsI recently had an apocrine cystadenoma surgically removed from my forehead by Dr. Khosh, and I could not be more grateful for the experience. I had been afraid to undergo the procedure for years, and during that time the cyst gradually grew and became increasingly disturbing. After meeting with Dr. Khosh a couple of times, I knew I had finally come to the right place. He is extremely professional, patient, and thorough. From the very beginning, he carefully explained every step of the process, which helped ease my anxiety significantly. Dr. Khosh is truly a perfectionist. He paid attention to every detail to minimize both discomfort and scarring. The procedure itself was fast and essentially painless. I was able to return to my normal routine the very next day. This is actually my first time writing a Google review for a doctor, which speaks to how happy and confident I feel about my experience.
I carefully did my research and decided to consult Dr. Khosh for a forehead osteoma that I first noticed back in 2017. It was very slow-growing but lately it had become larger and quite noticeable. Even though it was thankfully close to my hairline, it was time to do something about it. Dr. Khosh and his entire staff were extremely professional, welcoming, and genuinely caring. He explained the procedure to me thoroughly and all my questions were addressed without ever giving me the feeling like he was rushing to see the next patient. As a physician myself, I am confident I made the right decision. On the day of the procedure (done in the same office), I was informed every step of the way of what was to come. By the way, I didn’t mention that I also asked if he could repair both my earlobes due to unsightly ear piercings that were done decades ago. He took care of them on the same day as the osteoma removal which saved me having to schedule another procedure. I was back to work the very next day and only took Tylenol once! Two days post-op, I removed the bandage as instructed and was extremely amazed at how smooth my forehead looked (see before and after photo) as if the bony protrusion was never there at all with the surgical incision expertly hidden behind my hairline. Thank you Dr. Khosh and staff for a wonderful experience; I will not hesitate to return should I need any additional procedure in the future!
Dr. Khosh is not only highly skilled, but also compassionate. I had a very large keloid on my ear that extended on both sides, and I truly believed I would be left with little to no earlobe after removal. Instead, Dr. Khosh restored my ear so seamlessly that it looks like the keloid was never there in the first place. He took the time to explain the process clearly and set realistic expectations, which immediately put me at ease. He understood how much this affected my confidence and treated me with care and respect throughout the entire experience. His staff was equally wonderful. Ariel was fantastic at keeping me updated leading up to the procedure and was always responsive and reassuring, even though everything was handled over the phone since I couldn’t be there in person. The entire team was professional, organized, and supportive. I came from out of state to be seen by Dr. Khosh, and he was accommodating every step of the way. The results exceeded my expectations, and the confidence I’ve gained from this procedure has been truly life-changing. I highly recommend Dr. Khosh to anyone dealing with keloids or considering corrective procedures.
I had a third functional revision rhinoplasty, and I truly can’t say enough good things about my experience. After extensive research and meeting with several doctors, I was so relieved to find Dr. Khosh. He came highly recommended by other respected surgeons who were reluctant to take on my case, and from my first appointment, it was clear why. Dr. Khosh has an incredibly kind, calm, and reassuring presence. He took the time to walk me through every detail of the surgery, recovery, and potential risks. He answered all of my questions thoughtfully, and never once made me feel rushed. His expertise and approach genuinely eased my anxiety around what was a very difficult procedure. He even had me laughing on surgery day. Dr. Khosh prioritized functionality, which was my main concern, while also successfully refining the aesthetics of my nose after a childhood injury - something other surgeons told me couldn’t be done. Even though this surgery was significantly more complex than my prior procedures, my swelling and bruising were noticeably less, which I attribute to Dr. Khosh's surgical precision and skill. After six months, the result has honestly been life-changing. I’m breathing better than ever and haven't had an upper respiratory infection since the surgery, which I used to struggle with constantly. Dr. Khosh’s exceptional care is complemented by an equally wonderful office. I never felt like just another patient at any point during my process. The office is intimate and beautifully designed, and his team of ladies are all so warm, attentive, and truly invested in your care and results, which made the entire experience even better. Judy is an absolute rock star and has gone above and beyond to communicate and help. Thank you Judy! After decades of upper respiratory issues, I feel incredibly grateful to finally have found a surgeon who genuinely cares and can deliver exceptional results. Dr. Khosh has truly changed my life, and I’m so thankful. If you are contemplating any procedure with Dr Khosh, stop agonizing like I did and just book a consultation.

Dr. Khosh's Surgical Approach
Dr. Maurice Khosh approaches the deep plane facelift as a procedure focused on the deeper structural layers of the face rather than the skin surface alone.
Dr. Maurice Khosh approaches the deep plane facelift as a procedure focused on the deeper structural layers of the face rather than the skin surface alone. This distinguishes the technique from more superficial lifts that primarily tighten skin.
The foundation of the method is work on the SMAS (the superficial muscular aponeurotic system), a connective tissue layer that supports the muscles and fat of the midface and lower face. In a deep plane approach, the surgeon works beneath this layer.
