His medical education is connected to the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, one of the internationally recognized centers for scientific and medical training. This academic grounding informs the technical precision he brings to facial aesthetic surgery.

Among the procedures Dr. Mitz focuses on is the deep plane facelift, a surgical technique that repositions the deeper facial tissues rather than simply tightening the skin. This method targets the underlying structures responsible for facial aging.

The deep plane facelift works beneath the SMAS (the superficial musculoaponeurotic system, a fibrous layer that supports the muscles of the face). By releasing and repositioning this layer, the technique aims for a natural, refreshed appearance.

Dr. Mitz has long been associated with academic discussion of the SMAS, a concept central to modern facelift surgery. His practice website highlights facial rejuvenation approaches described as producing a natural result.

His surgical interests extend well beyond the face. Dr. Mitz performs eyelid surgery, neck surgery, lip procedures, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation and reconstruction, abdominoplasty, and hand microsurgery, reflecting a broad reconstructive and aesthetic background.

An author and public educator, Dr. Mitz has written works including "La passion du corps" and a "Practical Dictionary of Cosmetic Surgery," and has appeared in radio interviews discussing aesthetic surgery topics.

His clinical philosophy, as reflected on his own website, emphasizes listening and empathy alongside technical skill. Themes of natural results and patient communication appear consistently throughout his published material.

Paris, where Dr. Mitz practices, is one of Europe's enduring centers of medicine, art, and aesthetic refinement. His profile combines this cultural setting with a long record of surgical activity.

Recovery is a subject Dr. Mitz addresses openly in his patient education material, including guidance on post-operative care and realistic expectations. He publishes advice on surgical aftercare and what patients should anticipate.

He holds membership in the French Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, a professional body that connects practitioners across the specialty. This affiliation places him within France's established plastic surgery community.

Dr. Mitz maintains a presence on Instagram under the handle @mitzvladimir, where surgical education and case discussion reach a wider audience. Social media has become a common channel for surgeons sharing their work and philosophy.

For women considering facial rejuvenation, Dr. Mitz represents an experienced Paris-based option with a background spanning both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. His decades of practice and broad procedural range distinguish his profile.

Those researching the deep plane facelift will find in Dr. Mitz a surgeon whose career reflects sustained engagement with facial anatomy, natural-appearing results, and the education of both patients and peers.

I had breast reduction surgery with Dr. Mitz almost three years ago and I am extremely satisfied with the result. My breasts are perfect, the work was meticulous, and the follow-up care was very professional. I am so glad I trusted this surgeon. As my family surgeon since 1988, I recommend him without hesitation. A big thank you for his dedication and professionalism.

Dr. Mitz performed blepharoplasty on me a few years ago, and I was very satisfied: the result was very natural. Then, in 2023, he performed liposuction on my abdomen. I am delighted with the result. I consult him regularly for cosmetic medicine and appreciate his professionalism and kindness every time. What's more, he doesn't try to upsell me. So, a big thank you to this exceptional person for the good he brings to women!

I saw an interview with Dr. Mitz on Radio J, an interview conducted by Dr. Rafal (who has been my primary care physician for over 10 years, in whom I have complete confidence), to discuss Dr. Mitz's book "Rejuvenate." At 58 years old, I was wondering about a future facelift. Listening to Dr. Mitz's interview, I found it very interesting, demonstrating an almost ethnological approach (from the moral position to adopt in the face of aging to the desire to live daily) but above all deeply human and passionate. I read a few negative reviews, one of which mentioned Dr. Mitz's age. What? He's over 80? If that's the case, he's the best advertisement for his art. I'd like to have his intellectual vivacity in 20 years! On the Radio J video, his hands tremble as little as his words. Honestly, this wonderful interview makes me want to go see Dr. Mitz and have him give me a few years less. Dr. Mitz, I'll see you on Doctolib!

Dr. Mitz's Surgical Approach

Dr. Vladimir Mitz approaches the deep plane facelift by working beneath the surface layers of the face to reposition the deeper structures that shift with age. This distinguishes the technique from older methods that relied primarily on skin tension.

The foundation of this approach is the SMAS — the superficial musculoaponeurotic system. This is a continuous fibrous and muscular layer beneath the skin that supports the cheeks, jawline, and neck. Dr. Mitz's website specifically highlights the role of the SMAS in modern facelift surgery.
