The doctor took the time to explain the procedure in detail (in my case, facial and neck rejuvenation surgery) and its limitations to ensure my expectations were met, but most importantly, to address the potential risks. He had a document with him detailing the possible complications and their incidence rates, which I appreciated. I received a wealth of relevant and clear information, which allowed me to make an informed and confident decision. I felt listened to, respected, and never rushed. Secondly, the fact that the clinic has its own operating room is a major advantage. Unlike other cosmetic surgeons, everything is centralized in one place, which makes the process much smoother. This also provides great peace of mind in the event of any complications, since the team is on-site and fully familiar with the patient's case. There is continuity of care with the same nurses from beginning to end. Finally, the post-operative follow-ups are well-organized. The appointments are regular, and the documentation provided helped alleviate some anxieties during my recovery. I am now six months post-op and very happy with the results of my surgery. My recovery was easy, even faster than I anticipated, thanks in particular to the local anesthesia with sedation, thus avoiding general anesthesia. The scars on my chin and around my ears are already almost imperceptible, and my neck and lower face are now much better defined, while still remaining very natural, which is what I wanted.
