Dr. Savalia and his team deserve 100 stars! I have Braca so I decided to do a prophylactic double mastectomy. Since my surgery was preventative, I had a lot of time to research plastic surgeons for my reconstruction. I met with 8 highly recommended plastic surgeons from San Diego to LA. Choosing Dr. Savalia was hands down the best decision I could have made! His bedside manner is amazing. He takes as much time as you need to answer all of your questions! I have had two surgeries with him and both times right before going under he checked on me and I had a huge sense of relief. I trusted Dr. Savalia so much that I didn’t even ask him about my implant size or what type of surgery he was going to do, I just told him that I trusted him to pick for me. While his bedside manner was perfect, more importantly the results were better than I ever hoped for. It’s a “nice to have” to have a kind surgeon, but at the end of the day the results are what I cared most about. My breasts look better after having a double mastectomy and reconstruction than they did when I was in my 20’s. Dr. Savalia changed my life, and I no longer wake up every day worried about breast cancer. I am back to being confident in a bikini. If you are considering Dr. Savalia for plastic surgery look no further because he is the best choice. I drove from San Diego to Orange County to be able to have surgery with him. Now, I am recommending him to my sister and my mom! Lastly, his office is another huge differentiator. I have had multiple pre and post op appointments and I have never waited more than 1 min in the waiting room they are always on time. All of the staff from the front desk to the medical assistants are professional and polished. Dr. Savalia’s surgical consultant Kacey had a huge impact on my experience. She is on top of it!! I had a million daily questions, and she always got back to me the same day! She was on vacation in the mountains with her family and was still responding to me over the weekend. She felt like a friend I could trust and ask anything! She advocated for me on multiple occasions and exceeded my expectations. I can’t recommend Dr. Savalia and his team enough! If you are reading this review, know that Dr. Savalia will be the best choice you could ever make!

My review of Dr. Savalia and his wonderful staff is long overdue. Hard to believe that is has been exactly one year ago since i came to Dr. Savalia’s office in search of a surgeon to replace bilateral ruptured implants. I was very worried about leaking silicone, and Kacey scheduled me with a consult on that same afternoon due to a cancellation. The minute I met Kacey and Amber I felt so comfortable, and the office environment was so clean and beautiful! Then entered Dr. Savalia,.. He was so kind and caring, and very knowledgeable. He explained in detail why he also recommended a breast lift with my implant exchange. He suggested that I take a few days to make my decision. Kacey called me the next day to see if I had any more questions. She is absolutely an angel!! About ten days later I had my surgery with the lift, and it went perfect. The outpatient surgical team was excellent. I had post op swelling and bruising but absolutely no pain! I was truly shocked. My recovery was easy and my results are excellent. I am very very pleased!! I am a 63 year old newly retired Registered Nurse and I can honestly say that Dr. Savalia is the most professional , skilled and wonderful doctor I have ever known. I would highly recommend him and the Newport Beach Surgical Center!

Dr. Savalia, Dr. Soni (anesthesiologist), Kacey (surgical consultant and office manager), and Amber (🏅medical assistant) are the most unpretentious, cogent, and culturally competent plastic surgery team between San Diego and Orange County. I’ve consulted with 11 surgeons and teams over 3 years dealing with insurance and self-advocating for a medical breast reduction, I can say this with confidence and firsthand knowledge. Here’s the specs: Foremost and first pic: Best Christmas surprise of my life. Know your 🍋 🍋 folx, and if something is wrong or causing you chronic and progressive pain, advocate for your wellbeing. It’s worth it. Next pic is before 38F and last pic is after 38C. I’m 5’2 muscular/thick build, usually a size 10, and my arms and legs are exactly the same length. I’m a voluptuous hourglass at 190 lbs and 41 years old. I work out 5-6 days per week most of my adult life and cold plunge most days. I’ve had breasts since 3rd grade. Chronic neck and trapezius pain since leaving a physical job and returning to white-collar workforce. Ladies, folx with large and dense breasts: please don’t suffer those deep grooves in the shoulders and migraine from tying bikinis to haul up those huge boobs! I developed nerve impingement, thoracic outlet syndrome, cervical dystonia and migraine all from decades of bra straps bearing down on my traps and bikini tops literally cutting off circulation. My full breasts hung to the crook of my arms. I needed a reduction. I’m also dark skinned and prone to hypertrophic scarring so I needed a culturally competent plastic surgeon. One who wouldn’t shy away from this reality for those with rich melanin. I loved my breasts: they were just too large, spilling over in outfits, and the center of attention in every photo. They were quite literally larger and rounder than the largest face in every photo. All to say, though medical necessity was the priority, I prayed I’d come out looking decent as well. Consulting with other surgeons, I experienced insults about how I might look after reduction surgery without a full “mommy makeover,” or liposuction, medical gaslighting by office managers, and reticence to operate on me because I was going through insurance. I even had surgical consultants ask what culturally competent means and say “no, we don't do cultural competitions here.” I was completely leveled in discouragement and hopelessness. Dr. Savalia and Kacey were refreshingly clear, competent, factual and warm, dedicated when it came to insurance — and they quite literally took the load off me to advocate for myself, by myself. His ratings were the absolute highest in a 60-mile radius of my location; and that’s specific to the kind of surgery I needed. As a melanated individual himself he was unphased by a spotted history of darker or slightly raised scars. He was always straightforward but with a game-plan. Dr. Savalia knows how to tailor his bedside manner if you’re coming to him out of aspiration for augmentation or desperation for reduction. He’s perceptive to your motivation and responds in kind. His consultation focused on my medical need: what he could provide in harmony with what my medical team was hoping to achieve by the reduction and lift. He didn’t overpromise and he wasn’t too effusive in the aesthetics component. He is an excellent listener. Toward the end of my DDD/F experience, my eating and digestion were being impacted by the heavy breasts weighing on my stomach and underwire bras pressure on my stomach as I ate. Dr. Savalia was mindful to lift the breasts — I no longer struggle with discomfort while eating, satiety, and digestion due to the pressure. Since the smaller breasts are lifted I shouldn’t have to suffer the bra-strap impingement any longer. Lastly, Dr. Savalia was keen to match my reduced breasts to my active and outdoorsy lifestyle. If “athletic breasts” are a thing, that’s what he crafted!

I loved going to this group for 8 out of 10 years when the experienced nurse that did their Aesthetics was working there. She was an absolute joy to work with and a professional to the core. Jennay took over and, in my opinion, she is not good at her job and is highly unprofessional. She refused to follow the map from the last nurse sighting reasons it doesn't work. But it did work! I was happy for 8 years. Jennay's Botox injections don't last. My frown lines were never done well. When I asked that we go back to the map of the past nurse's work she told me I was complaining. I was stunned and clarified that discussing issues with her work would be complaining and she assured me, that was how she viewed it. The work is substandard, her attitude is confrontational and simply put, the injections are expensive and substandard. I won't go back.
