I went in to see Dr. Gay for a consultation. When I first walked into the office his staff was so very kind and welcoming. He made me feel so comfortable and explained everything step by step showing me pictures of his work and answered any questions I had. I have scheduled my upcoming surgery and his office in Dripping Springs is absolutely gorgeous.

I cannot recommend Dr. Dave Gay highly enough. His technical skill—especially when it comes to suturing—is truly exceptional. The precision, care, and attention to detail are immediately evident, and the results reflect a level of craftsmanship that sets him apart. Beyond the technical expertise, his bedside manner is outstanding. From the first consultation through follow-up care, I felt genuinely listened to, respected, and at ease. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered my questions thoughtfully, and never made me feel rushed or dismissed. What I appreciated most was his honesty. He is straightforward about what can and cannot be achieved, always prioritizing realistic outcomes and patient safety over selling procedures. That integrity builds a level of trust that is rare and invaluable. Dr. Gay is an amazing plastic surgeon. I needed reconstruction from cancer surgery that I thought would be irreparable. Dr. Gay proceeded to operate on my eyelid with an ability that exceeded my imagination. He showed both kindness and the depth of his incredible knowledge and skill when he performed my surgery. I am grateful to him for being able to repair my eyelid. His support staff, including nurse Allison and Mari, added an element of personal care that I appreciated. All questions were promptly answered with respect and understanding.

I saw Dr. Gay last month for a consult. His bedside manner was fantastic, and he explained everything very well and listened to my concerns. Everything you would expect of a fantastic, caring, knowledgeable surgeon . I gave 4 out of 5 stars based not on the consult alone (that would be a 5/5) because my experience, unfortunately, with the surgical coordinator has not been as exemplary. Communication has been very poor, lacking, slow, non-responsive and just not what I would expect as a future patient, and overall, it just lowered the patient experience. For me, I believe a business is not just the surgeon, who, as I mentioned, seems to be absolutely fantastic (he was referred to me by a very well-known aesthetic nurse practitioner in the neighborhood). It's also the office culture and the services you receive from everybody within that business and clinic. When it comes to your body and your face, at least for me, I want to feel comfortable and trust the people that I'll be communicating with. Needless to say, I will be holding off on my surgery, or not having surgery, with this clinic, given my discomfort with how communication has been handled. Again, Dr. Gay was fantastic in our consult and caring. I have not had surgery with him. My review is NOT solely based on my consult with him in person, and everything was great other than my experience with the surgical coordinator. For the consult alone and bedside manner I would give 5/5
