During my hospitalization, the hospital director and nursing team took incredibly good care of my wound and every aspect of my recovery. I am deeply grateful! During this recovery period, my arm has improved day by day, from the immediate post-surgery swelling. The muscles have softened, the arm circumference has gradually decreased, and the veins and bones are slowly becoming more visible. Seeing this progress makes me incredibly happy! My takeaway is: don't be impatient. Record, added [Sharing my experience after flap reduction surgery] One and a half years after my flap transplant surgery, I underwent flap reduction surgery last November. Originally, I only wanted to reduce the size of the skin flap to make it less noticeable and hoped it would improve wrist flexibility. However, in the six months since the surgery, I've been amazed to see my arm circumference gradually decrease, and the tightness and discomfort have diminished day by day, far exceeding my initial desire for aesthetics and flexibility. I can clearly feel the flap functioning effectively, which has led to faster swelling reduction in my arm. As the surgeon mentioned, during the flap reduction surgery, the scar tissue that had grown beneath the flap after the previous transplant surgery is also removed, allowing for smoother venous return. Even now, when my arm feels uncomfortable due to prolonged hand activity or increased lymphatic fluid in high temperatures, a short rest or 15 minutes of ice application immediately relieves most of the discomfort, and I can immediately feel the relaxation and relief in my arm. Therefore, personally, I feel this flap reduction surgery was well worth it because it has allowed the transplanted flap to function better! My arm feels much more comfortable!

Throughout my journey dealing with lymphedema in my arm and undergoing reconstructive treatment, I am grateful for your professionalism and care. Your excellent medical skills and tranquil medical environment allowed me to better cope with the changes in my body and the recovery process. I've been going for follow-up appointments every three months since then, and the condition is stable. My left and right hands look almost identical, with no swelling remaining. I am truly grateful beyond words; Dr. Cheng is my benefactor and a benefactor. But I am even more grateful to God for providing me with such a wonderful doctor. In October 2025, I underwent a lymph node transplant on my right lower limb at Anderson Plastic Surgery Hospital. Six months have passed, and although the results aren't very noticeable, I no longer need to wear compression stockings and bandages, making life much simpler and improving my quality of life. I'm currently actively using a blood pressure monitor, and given time, I expect to see results. I look forward to that day.
