I paid £350 for a consultation with Dr Orfaniotis regarding a face and neck lift. I was advised to undergo a highly invasive procedure involving removal of part of my salivary glands, along with potential ongoing Botox injections to the salivary glands at additional cost to maintain the result, something I found both unexpected and difficult to reconcile with a cosmetic procedure of this nature. I was also told I would need to dissolve my fillers with a colleague at additional cost, followed by a waiting period of around six weeks before surgery. I was not comfortable with the idea of being left looking noticeably altered during that time, particularly given the added expense and inconvenience. Pricing was not discussed during the consultation, and I was later quoted £57,000, excluding these additional steps and any future treatments, meaning the overall cost could escalate significantly. I should add that, at 69, I am not particularly wrinkled; my main concern is a lax jawline, jowls and some neck laxity. In that context, the scale and invasiveness of the proposed procedure felt difficult to justify. While he came across as confident and professional, the recommendation of an approximately eight-hour operation further added to my concern. I subsequently sought a second opinion and was advised that this level of intervention was not necessary, and that my concerns could be addressed with a far less invasive procedure, potentially under local or conscious sedation, and without such prolonged operating time. Overall, the experience left me feeling that the approach was not entirely aligned with my needs. At this level, both clinically and financially, I would have expected a more proportionate, patient-centred recommendation. I have therefore chosen not to proceed.
I honestly cannot recommend George Orfaniotis highly enough. From my first consultation I felt like he took the time to really listen and understand exactly what I wanted. His skill and attention to detail are exceptional, and my results look incredibly natural – just a fresher, more rested version of myself. That was exactly what I was hoping for. The whole experience, from consultation to surgery and aftercare, has been handled with such professionalism and care. The team around him have also been wonderful and supportive throughout the process. I always felt I was in very safe hands. I’m so grateful for the outcome and would highly recommend him to anyone considering facial surgery.”
