He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I knew exactly what to expect. My surgery was truly life-changing, and I’m so grateful for the results. Recovery honestly wasn’t terrible — you just have to listen to what he says and follow his instructions. The first week I couldn’t walk much because I was on a knee scooter, but by week two I was in a boot and able to start walking more. Moving around more really helped with the swelling and made a big difference in how I felt. I highly recommend Dr. Alfi to anyone needing jaw surgery. He’s skilled, caring, and truly wants the best for his patients. I truthfully could never say enough good things.. this reviews short for how much this surgery changed my life.. and how I couldn’t ask for a better surgeon. I actually feel alive now and my anxiety is way better. My depressions gone too and to actually be able to breathe and be getting good quality sleep as well. My self-confidence has skyrocketed. I breathe so much easier through my nose, I sleep better, I can finally close my mouth properly, and everything feels aligned the way it always should have been. Dr. Carrillo is respectful, thoughtful, professional, punctual, and incredibly dedicated to his craft. He took the time to explain his thought process step by step, what he wanted to do and why. That level of transparency and education meant everything to me. Feeling informed and involved in such a major decision made all the difference. The entire process was seamless thanks to how organized and thorough his team is.
