How to check a surgeon yourself
A listing on DEEPPLANE™ is not a licence check. These three steps take a few minutes and do not depend on us.
- Search the official medical register of the country where the surgeon practises. It shows whether the doctor is registered there and, in many countries, whether the licence is current and any conditions or disciplinary actions.
- Look for the DEEPPLANE™ verification badge on the surgeon's own website. The badge is never sold, and it can only be placed on a site the surgeon controls.
- Ask the clinic for the name of the hospital or surgical centre where the operation is performed, and check the surgeon holds privileges there.

Our guides are written and edited in-house to that standard. Review is recorded per article, not claimed for the site as a whole — a guide names a surgeon as its reviewer only when that surgeon has signed it, and says so plainly when none has.
