The deep plane facelift sits at the center of this practice. Rather than tightening skin alone, the technique repositions the deeper tissue layers of the face, addressing the structures most responsible for facial aging and producing a result that aims to look natural in motion.

Dr. Jack Zoumaras has dedicated a focused career to face and neck surgery, according to published practice material. That concentration on a defined area of surgery is one way patients evaluate a facial specialist, since the face rewards repeated, deliberate experience.

Meloplasty is the clinical term Artiste Plastic Surgery uses for its facelift procedures, and the practice lists several variations. These include the deep plane facelift, the high SMAS face and neck lift, and the ponytail facelift, each suited to different patterns of aging.

The SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system) is the fibrous layer beneath the skin that the deep plane approach works with directly. Dr. Jack Zoumaras treats this layer as the foundation of a lasting result rather than treating the skin as the thing to be pulled.

Neck rejuvenation often accompanies a facelift in this practice. Dr. Jack Zoumaras lists both a standard neck lift and a deep plane neck lift (platysmaplasty, meaning a reshaping of the platysma, the broad sheet of muscle across the front of the neck).

Blepharoplasty rounds out the facial focus. Dr. Jack Zoumaras offers upper and lower eyelid surgery, a procedure many patients combine with a facelift so that the eyes match the refreshed appearance of the lower face.

Recovery is treated as part of the surgical plan, not an afterthought. Patients choosing Dr. Jack Zoumaras can expect a structured timeline through the early swelling and bruising, a gradual return to daily life, and a longer settling period before the final result appears.

The practice extends beyond the facelift into rhinoplasty, including revision, secondary, preservation, and ethnic approaches to the nose. This range means Dr. Jack Zoumaras sees a wide spectrum of facial anatomy, which can inform judgment in the operating room.

Sydney gives this practice its character. A coastal, design-conscious city on Australia's east coast, Sydney draws patients who want a considered, understated result, and the Bondi location places Dr. Jack Zoumaras within one of its most recognizable neighborhoods.

Education and public communication are part of the surgeon's profile as well. Dr. Jack Zoumaras has authored a book on facelift surgery and has lectured on the international stage about the procedure, and has appeared in Australian media discussing cosmetic treatment choices.

Patient care at Artiste Plastic Surgery is presented as a full journey, from consultation through the surgical day and into aftercare. The practice publishes material on the risks and complications of plastic surgery, reflecting the standard caution that surgery is invasive and carries risk.

For those researching facial rejuvenation in Australia, Dr. Jack Zoumaras represents a focused, facial-specialty option in a competitive Sydney market. This profile gathers the verified details so you can weigh the surgeon's training, techniques, and approach before you ever pick up the phone.

I cannot recommend Dr Jack Zoumaras highly enough. From the moment I met Jack, I felt completely calm, reassured and confident that I was in the best hands. I had done a huge amount of research, read countless reviews and had consultations with other surgeons, but the instant I met Jack, I knew he was the one. He’s not only an incredibly talented plastic surgeon, but also such a genuine, down-to-earth and reassuring person. He has a way of making you feel completely at ease throughout the entire process. My journey started with the removal of a basal cell carcinoma on my nose, which required a skin graft from my ear. The result was outstanding. I then returned to Jack for a septorhinoplasty, and now, three months post-op, I am absolutely thrilled with how everything is progressing. I know rhinoplasty is a process and that I haven’t reached my final cosmetic result yet, but if this is how good it looks at three months, I can’t wait to see the final outcome. My nose already looks so natural and suits my face beautifully. Jack’s attention to detail, surgical skill and genuine care for his patients are second to none. Every member of the team at Artiste was warm, professional and supportive, making the whole experience exceptional from start to finish. If you’re considering facial plastic surgery, don’t look any further. Dr Jack Zoumaras and the entire team at Artiste are simply the best. Thank you for changing my life.

I had buccal fat removal with Dr. Jack, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. From the consultation to recovery, everything was handled with professionalism and care, and I always felt well looked after. Dr. Jack was incredibly kind, took the time to listen to me, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. The procedure went smoothly, I’m very pleased with my results, and I would highly recommend Dr. Jack to anyone considering this treatment. The entire team was lovely as well.

I highly recommend Dr Jack Zoumaras and the team at Artiste Plastic Surgery for their professionalism, kindness and patient care. Dr Jack is warm and friendly, and treats you with respect. He listens to your concerns, offering thorough and detailed explanations of options available both surgical and non surgical. Dr Jack is an expert in his field of plastic surgery and will ensure the absolute best outcome for you. Upon walking into reception where you are greeted warmly by the team to meeting Dr Jack himself the whole experience at Artiste is a positive one. A big thank you too to Dr Francesco (visiting Plastic Surgeon) for his kindness and expertise when suturing a wound I had after a recent fall. Cannot thank everyone at Artiste enough for the care I was given at that time, and all the other times I have visited the practice.

Dr. Zoumaras provides a personalised recovery timeline during consultation.
How long do deep plane facelift results last?
How long results last has not been measured for all patients, and whether a deep plane facelift outlasts a SMAS or mini facelift is still debated (Khoury 2025). In one surgeon's 30-year series, patients who came back for a second facelift after a deep plane lift did so 10.9 years later on average (Levin & Frankel 2026); that counts only the patients who returned.
